Labor Day a Little Late...

Yes, I am late posting this. On Labor Day we went up Logan Canyon on an ATV ride with my family. We had dinner, visited and then came home. It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! There was a really bad accident on the trail right before us. It was a little nerve wracking and makes you really think about helmets, safety and such. This time we took the trail to Old Ephraim's Grave. We took little Minnie with us, she loved the ATV ride and was so good. Here are some pictures.

Perfect Day for Football

The weather was perfect for a game of football in Garland today. Makayden had a great game. He had a touchdown, a couple extra points and some sacks. Ryan bought me some rims for the Tahoe. It was just what I always wanted... ha ha ha!! But they do look nice. Then we went to Brigham for awhile and checked out Peach Days. Tayler asked what Peach Days were and Kenzie replied, "It is when the Twin Towers fell, don't you know?" She is hilarious and a little confused since today is Patriots Day! We drove through the canyon to pick some things up in Logan. Then Ryan and I had dinner at The Bar T L. It was a fabulous Saturday!! Kayden is number 74.
Tayler wouldn't let me take her picture today, but don't worry, I will catch her tomorrow...

We have had a crazy week this week, with dancing, football and everything else. It is hard adjusting to the school routine after having summer break. I am such a night hawk it is hard to go to sleep early. Tayler is starting piano on Monday and is going to try out for the school play. Kenzie has been busy with dance and cheer. Makayden has been at football practice everynight. I decided to finish my reading endorsement so I have class one night a week and stuipd homework. Also, our basement flooded! It is an awful mess. A sprinkler in the backyard broke and flooded the back lawn and the basement. Pretty much everything was ruined and it even got some of our food storage. It is such a mess to clean up! Wow, We have never experienced anything like this and I don't like it. I think we finally got everything dry and the smell is going away. Fun, Fun for us! I had a doctor appointment on Friday. The kids came with me and we had a fun time. We had dinner at Fredrico's and shopped around at Hobby Lobby. Ryan was taking care of insurance stuff with the flood and had to run to Brigham to pick up some anti-microbial something or another. I just love my kids! I can't believe how fast they are growing up. Tayler got to take part in the back to school assembly at the middle school. She had to put make up on a fellow male classmate. I remember picking her up from Kindergarten, like yesterday...wow, where does the time go? I seriously wish, I could freeze time right now for just awhile...

First Day of School 2010...

Kenzie is in the 4th grade this year. Her teacher is Mrs. Archibald. She is excited for reading this year. She wants to have the most minutes on the reading chart. One boy is a head of her so this weekend she has been reading 2 hours everyday. I have no idea where this competitive streak has came from.
Tayler is in the 8th grade this year. She is going to the Middle School! She was a little nervous for this. She is very excited for her drama class. She is also shocked at how much they expect you to take care of yourself now...LOL! She doesn't really like having classes with 9th graders either.
Makayden is in 5th grade with Mr. Esplin. He was having an emotional day as you can tell. He loves earning Esplin Bucks. He likes PE of course and playing football at lunch and break.

The Box Elder County Fair 2010

The fair week is such a busy week. Every year I wish after this week, there was one more week before school started. Here are Tayler and Kayden going to show their pigs.
Kenzie doesn't like animals. She asked her dad if she had to show a pig to be a part of our family. Kenzie didn't end up showing a pig this year. Maybe next year. After the pig show was over she told me she wanted to show a horse...too bad that won't happen.
Thursday, showing their pigs. Kayden named his pig Superman and Tayler named hers Rebel.

The Parade..... (Wednesday)
Kenzie ready to march in the parade. She sure is cute ;)
Ryan and I drove Kayden's baseball team. Look at the handsome boys.
