Kenzie the pioneer who loves jalapenos!

Jamie: Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

This is Kenzie at her wax museum. She did her report on Brigham Young. So she decided to dress up as one of his wives. She looks so cute as a pioneer! We found that cute bonnet at Zurchers. Kenzie thinks she looks like a really big baby. I think she acts like a really big baby but looks awful cute!

The Jalapeno story....
So Friday night we went with Sherri and Kaden to Ogden. We stopped for dinner at Applebees. Kaden had a cup of jalapenos, he tossed them to his mom and said he didn't like them. Kenzie pipes up with "I like them!" We all looked at her like, yeah, right. She grabbed one of the jalapenos and puts it in her mouth, but she had this, "I'll show you attitude" going on. She chews and chews and then swallows....then her eyes get all wide and she is drinking her sprite by the gallons! She can't get the burn to stop. It was hilarious! The waitress even commented on how bad she looked. She made herself so sick, she couldn't finish her dinner... Oh Kenzie, she is such a character!

Where or where has September gone?

My goodness, time is going by sooo fast! It is already October! We have had a busy but great month.
To catch things up....
Last weekend, Kayden had a football game and they won again yeah! Ryan and I went on a much needed date with out the kids! We went to the movie The Switch, it is hilarious! I laughed a lot and it was great! We then ate at Hunan Village, I love that place and am glad it is back in Brigham! That night when I went to bed, I got heartburn really bad! It was awful! I almost went to the emergency room! It lasted all day Sunday as well! I am on a prescription for that already and yes I had been taking it. I tried everything Sunday, I wasn't sure I would make it to work Monday. But strange, it was gone by Monday afternoon and hasn't been back, thanks heavens!

Tayler started piano in Logan and is loving it! Kenzie is going to start this week as well. Tayler also started an art class that she loves as well! I am glad Ü

Kenzie has been dancing and Kayden has basketball and football every night. I am finishing my reading endorsement and have class every Thursday night again. This class has a lot of homework, which is hard for me to get use to. I like the class though.

Friday, Ryan, Kayden and Wyatt went to the Morgan/ Bear River Game. Tayler went to the Cornmaze with her besties. Kenzie and I were just hanging and then decided to run to Ogden with my friend. She was going to Zurchers and I needed stuff for red ribbon week. Kenzie found some stuff for Halloween and her wax museum on Monday. I got some FUN stuff for Red Ribbon week, I can't wait! I can't tell you what because it is a surprise!

Today, Kayden had a football game so I made Minnie an appointment to get a groom. I dropped her off and then was late getting back to Kayden's game. I missed his first touchdown!! Ryan said he ran about 35 yards and broke through some tackles... of course I missed it! Gosh! But Minnie is looking pretty cute! We picked her up went to lunch and then came home.

Kayden and I played chess and he beat me every time! I was really trying! Then we played checkers and I beat him!!

Tomorrow is conference and I am so excited to relax and watch it at home. A few friends and family have invited us over, but I think staying home and relaxing while I watch it sounds really good right now!

I am excited for October, it means we are closer to our Christmas gift from Ryan's parents....a trip to Disneyland!! Yipee!!! So, so, so excited!

Labor Day a Little Late...

Yes, I am late posting this. On Labor Day we went up Logan Canyon on an ATV ride with my family. We had dinner, visited and then came home. It was a lot of fun and the weather was perfect! There was a really bad accident on the trail right before us. It was a little nerve wracking and makes you really think about helmets, safety and such. This time we took the trail to Old Ephraim's Grave. We took little Minnie with us, she loved the ATV ride and was so good. Here are some pictures.

Perfect Day for Football

The weather was perfect for a game of football in Garland today. Makayden had a great game. He had a touchdown, a couple extra points and some sacks. Ryan bought me some rims for the Tahoe. It was just what I always wanted... ha ha ha!! But they do look nice. Then we went to Brigham for awhile and checked out Peach Days. Tayler asked what Peach Days were and Kenzie replied, "It is when the Twin Towers fell, don't you know?" She is hilarious and a little confused since today is Patriots Day! We drove through the canyon to pick some things up in Logan. Then Ryan and I had dinner at The Bar T L. It was a fabulous Saturday!! Kayden is number 74.
Tayler wouldn't let me take her picture today, but don't worry, I will catch her tomorrow...

We have had a crazy week this week, with dancing, football and everything else. It is hard adjusting to the school routine after having summer break. I am such a night hawk it is hard to go to sleep early. Tayler is starting piano on Monday and is going to try out for the school play. Kenzie has been busy with dance and cheer. Makayden has been at football practice everynight. I decided to finish my reading endorsement so I have class one night a week and stuipd homework. Also, our basement flooded! It is an awful mess. A sprinkler in the backyard broke and flooded the back lawn and the basement. Pretty much everything was ruined and it even got some of our food storage. It is such a mess to clean up! Wow, We have never experienced anything like this and I don't like it. I think we finally got everything dry and the smell is going away. Fun, Fun for us! I had a doctor appointment on Friday. The kids came with me and we had a fun time. We had dinner at Fredrico's and shopped around at Hobby Lobby. Ryan was taking care of insurance stuff with the flood and had to run to Brigham to pick up some anti-microbial something or another. I just love my kids! I can't believe how fast they are growing up. Tayler got to take part in the back to school assembly at the middle school. She had to put make up on a fellow male classmate. I remember picking her up from Kindergarten, like yesterday...wow, where does the time go? I seriously wish, I could freeze time right now for just awhile...

First Day of School 2010...

Kenzie is in the 4th grade this year. Her teacher is Mrs. Archibald. She is excited for reading this year. She wants to have the most minutes on the reading chart. One boy is a head of her so this weekend she has been reading 2 hours everyday. I have no idea where this competitive streak has came from.
Tayler is in the 8th grade this year. She is going to the Middle School! She was a little nervous for this. She is very excited for her drama class. She is also shocked at how much they expect you to take care of yourself now...LOL! She doesn't really like having classes with 9th graders either.
Makayden is in 5th grade with Mr. Esplin. He was having an emotional day as you can tell. He loves earning Esplin Bucks. He likes PE of course and playing football at lunch and break.

The Box Elder County Fair 2010

The fair week is such a busy week. Every year I wish after this week, there was one more week before school started. Here are Tayler and Kayden going to show their pigs.
Kenzie doesn't like animals. She asked her dad if she had to show a pig to be a part of our family. Kenzie didn't end up showing a pig this year. Maybe next year. After the pig show was over she told me she wanted to show a horse...too bad that won't happen.
Thursday, showing their pigs. Kayden named his pig Superman and Tayler named hers Rebel.

The Parade..... (Wednesday)
Kenzie ready to march in the parade. She sure is cute ;)
Ryan and I drove Kayden's baseball team. Look at the handsome boys.

Ready...Set...Football!!

Today was the first football game of the year. Kayden's team played in Syracuse at 8:30, which is way too early for me. They won their game. After the game, Tayler had few things to get for school still, so we went to Kohl's and the mall. She found some cute things. Then the kids and I hung out with my sister Lisa and her family to wait for Trevin's game later in the afternoon. It was a pretty fun day. My aunt babysat our doggie Minnie so she didn't have to stay home alone. Minnie had fun playing with her sister Millie. I have driven our new Tahoe for about two weeks now, and so far so good....hopefully I don't roll this one Ü
