After visiting Reptile Gardens, we drove to Keystone where we ate at Peggy's Home Cookin'. I think it normally is a great place to eat. They were very busy and Krisanne's, My Mom's and Tayler's food wasn't quite finished. They were very nice about it. We did have to wait quite awhile for our dinner. My food was excellent! When dinner was finally over, we headed to Mt. Rushmore! This was my favorite thing about the entire trip. My Dad did not listen to directions and tried to park us with the buses but other then that.... ha ha! They had a video we got to watch about Mt. Rushmore and then we got to watch the lighting. The video talked about each president and why they were chosen. It was very patriotic. They have changed a lot about the place since my last visit when I was about eight.
Here is the website: Mt. Rushmore- Washington, being our first president represents the BIRTH of our country. Served 1789-1797
- Jefferson symbolizes the EXPANSION of the nation, he is credited with Louisiana Purchase in 1803. Served 1801-1809
- Lincoln embodies the PRESERVATION of the nation in confronting the challenges of the Civil War. Served 1861-1865
- Theodore Roosevelt represents the DEVELOPMENT of our country. He promoted construction of the Panama Canal. Served 1901-1909

The town you drive through on the way to Mt. Rushmore is so cute. It is called Keystone. It reminded me of Jackson Hole or Park City.
