Grand Canyon Vacation Day 3

Glen Canyon Dam

Lake Powell

Looking for seashells

Four Corners

Saturday, August 1:
Today we slept in. We were not in a hurry to get back in the car. We had a lazy morning at the hotel and did not check out until we had to at 11:00. Ryan played Restaurant with Kenzie. It was pretty cute! We then drove out to the Glen Canyon Dam. The thing is huge. It was pretty awesome to look at. Then we went to Lake Powell. There is some beautiful scenery out there. The kids were impressed with how soft the sand was. We just hung out in the water for a little while. Then we went to Kayden's choice of eating place...KFC. They had some kind of buffet there, so the Kent Kids were happy!! Then we started the long journey to Four Corners. It didn't take long to visit there. The place has not changed since I visited in my high school days. The kids took a turn standing in the middle of the four states, then they jumped around from state to state. We looked at the items for sale and Kayden found an awesome baseball necklace. Then we tried some Navajo Fry Bread.... very tasty. We then took a jaunt over to Blanding where we stayed the night.

This is Tayler's journal entry:
It was fun seeing everything!! I loved four corners! I got to be in 4 states at once! But before we went there we stopped at Glen Canyon Dam! It was 710 feet deep! Then we went to Lake Powel in Arizona! We got some seashells! The sand by the water was so so so soft! Then after we went to four corners we went to Old Timers Resurant in Blanding, Utah. Then we stayed in four corners inn. It sucked, it didn't have a POOL!i! But it had extra pillows & wifi! It was AWESOME!!
